Mumbai: The picture of politics in Maharashtra is constantly changing. There are new tricks being tried one after the other. While Uddhav Thackeray is talking about resigning to persuade the rebel MLAs, his party leader Sanjay Raut is saying that he will prove majority in the assembly if need be. That is to say, he has ruled out the possibility of resignation.
It may be noted that after talking to Eknath Shinde and revolting voices in the party, Uddhav Thackeray appeared for the first time through Facebook and offered to resign. Soon after, party stalwart Sanjay Raut came forward and ruled out the possibility of resignation. Raut said that if needed, he will prove majority in the assembly.
The same NCP chief Sharad Pawar and Supriya Sule met Uddhav Thackeray yesterday. It is being said that due to this meeting, Sharad Pawar had advised Eknath Shinde to save the government by giving him the post of Chief Minister. Sanjay Raut has rubbished the news. On the other hand, Eknath Shinde claims that he has more than 38 MLAs with him. In such a situation, after the floor test that Sanjay Raut is doing, his path will not be easy.
