Azim Premji, 76, has retained the title of 'India's Most Generous' for the second year in a row, according to the Hurun India and EdelGive report 'EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2021' released today. Premji, the CEO of Wipro Ltd, donates Rs 27 crore per day.

Premji is the only living Indian to appear on the Edelgive Hurun India philanthropists of the century list two times. Shiv Nadar, 76, of HCL, is in second place with a donation of Rs 1,263 crore per year. Mukesh Ambani, India's richest man, came third in the Edelgive Hurun India philanthropy list 2021 with a donation of Rs 577 crore.

Huron Report, a London-based research, luxury publishing, and events firm, discovered 11 Indians who gave over Rs 100 crore per year, 20 over Rs 50 crore, and 42 over Rs 20 crore. Am Naik, the 79-year-old former chairman of L&T, donated Rs 112 crore to be included in this year's list, making him India's most charitable professional manager. The Hinduja Family, Bajaj Family, Anil Agarwal, and the Burman Family are among the top generous personalities.
