Baba Ramdev to respond to allopathy case within 24 hours, Delhi High Court orders

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has adjourned the hearing till August 18 in connection with the objectionable remarks on allopathy against yoga guru Baba Ramdev. The court has directed the defendants to file their replies within 24 hours. In fact, the case relates to alleged misinformation about allopathy. Seven doctors' associations had filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against Baba Ramdev in the case.

Three Resident Doctors Association of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh, Patna and Bhubaneswar, Association of Resident Doctors, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, Union of Resident Doctors of Punjab (URDP), Resident Doctors Association, Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College, Meerut, and Telangana Junior Doctors Association, Hyderabad are included.

The petitioners have alleged that Baba Ramdev was misleading the public at large. He was saying that allopathy was responsible for the death of many people infected with corona. He was saying that allopathic doctors were causing the death of patients. In their petition, the associations have said that Baba Ramdev was raising doubts in the minds of the general public not only about allopathic treatments but also about the safety and efficacy of corona vaccines.
