Indore: A number of strange cases have been reported from across the country, meanwhile, pardeshipura police have busted a gang that used to target unmarried people by contracting marriage. The girl involved in the gang used to extort money by calling herself a virgin and from a poor family. The girl's mother and agent used to witness the marriage. Police have registered a case of cheating against the trio on the complaint of a man. The three criminals are being questioned in connection with other incidents.

Giving information about the matter, TI Pankaj Dwivedi said that on the complaint of Chandu son Anandrao, resident of Tapunagar, a case of fraud has been registered against the criminal Mahendra resident Bhagirathpura, Pooja resident Bhagirathpura and Lakshmi resident Bhagirathpura. According to Chandu, the criminal Pooja and her mother Lakshmi used to live near the house earlier. Due to this, the marriage negotiations took place through the agent. The criminals first took 30 thousand rupees. Later, they bluffed the contract in the court and took 44 thousand again. Before marriage, also bought jewellery, saris and clothes.

They were the ones who dodged the criminals and fled. Agent Mahendra also refused assistance. Chandu caught Mahendra near Kalali on Monday and found that the mother and daughter lived in a rented house in Bhagirathpura. Police also arrested Pooja late in the night. Inquiries revealed that Pooja is married. That is how people are cheated. She also married a man in Rajasthan and fled with jewellery and money.
