Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar is identified as a jurist, social reformer and sharp politician. He is also called the father of the Indian Constitution. As a noted politician in the country, his efforts to eliminate untouchability and caste restrictions and other social evils were notable. There is a story behind how his name was Bhimrao Ambedkar.

He was born on 14 April 1891 in Mhow city near Indore. He was born in a Mahar family. Baba Saheb's mother was Bhima Bai and father Ramji Maloji Shakpal. Ambedkar's childhood was very difficult. The reason for this was that the Mahar caste was considered untouchable. Ambedkar's father Ramji was a subedar in the army. Ambedkar was named after Bhimrao Ambedkar's parents and village. As his mother's name was Bhima Bai and after his father's name was Bhimrao and the name of the village was Ambedkar, such Baba Saheb was named Bhima Rao Ambevadekar.

Let us tell you that in the book "Prabhar Rashtrabhakt Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar" written on Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, "Seeing the passion of Bhimrao's studies, during his high school, there was a Brahmin teacher named Mahadev Ambedkar. He had a special affinity with Bhimrao and he changed the name of Bhimrao from Ambevadekar to Ambedkar on his own surname and from the same day, Bhimrao took Ambedkar in front of the surname which till date is named Bhimrao Ambedkar. After this, he started being called by this name.
