20 thousand workers are expected to participate in the program to be organized on the occasion of Marandi's return. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda will be present at the merger ceremony on 17 February 2020 at Prabhat Tara Maidan here. Jhavimo's General Secretary Abhay Singh says that his party's merger with BJP will be historic and Panchayat-level workers will come to join it. He said, "Party workers will return from the venue with a message of renewed enthusiasm to promote Jharkhand and strengthen nationalism."

BJP leaders talked about giving Marandi an important responsibility, but Marandi said that he would join BJP as a general worker. He has no desire for the post.
