Bahraich: The body of a soldier posted in the District Prison of Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh found in the residential colony. Police sources said on Tuesday that Brijesh Kumar Pandey, a resident of Ramnagar Panji village of Ramjanmabhoomi police station, Ayodhya (35) Was posted as a prison warden in the district prison. His posting took place in the district prison in 2018.

Police said that the deceased was staying in the jail colony in front of the district jail along with the family. These days, his wife was suffering with children. Late on Monday night, the jail superintendent contacted him by phone for round duty, but the call continued, but the phone did not pick up. Another warden was brought to his room to call him. His room got locked inside. Despite being given a lot of voice, the officials were informed about the lack of any response from inside.

He informed that Jail Superintendent AN Tripathi reached the spot. The door was opened somehow. He found himself lying in unconsciousness on the cot inside. Jail doctor Dr Mritunjay Pathak was called, and after testing, the soldier Brijesh Kumar Pandey was declared dead. The in-charge Kotwal Police Force and the forensic team arrived on the spot and the dead body has been sent for post-mortem. The matter is under investigation.
