Kolkata: The 14-day custody period of Trinamool Congress (TMC) District President Anubrata Mondal of Birbhum, who was arrested in connection with cow smuggling in West Bengal, has ended. Today again Anubrata Mandal will be presented in the CBI Court of Asansol. All eyes are on whether Anubrata Mandal will get bail or go to jail again. On Tuesday, Anubrata Mandal and his former bodyguard Sehgal Hussain were questioned by CBI officials inside the jail. However, the CBI says that TMC leader Anubrata Mandal is not cooperating in the inquiry.

CBI officials questioned Anubrata Mandal and Sehgal Hussain in Asansol jail. According to sources, Sehgal Hussain was questioned for about 20 minutes. After 50 minutes, questions were asked from Anubrata Mandal. Sehgal was asked 14 questions, while Anubrata Mandal was asked 20 questions. According to sources, Anubrata Mondal was questioned recently in connection with the search operation conducted by the CBI. Inquiries were also made regarding the property of Anubrata Mandal's close councillors, CM, businessmen and daughter Sukanya. 

CBI officials claim that Sehgal has answered some questions. At the same time, Anubrata Mandal was also a little more flexible than in the past. When faced with the question, Mandal did not remain silent. According to sources, Mandal gave answers like 'I am looking,' 'I am looking for,' and 'I will see.' Let us tell you that the allegations of non-cooperation in the investigation were being levelled against him from the beginning. Now Anubrata Mandal's 14-day jail term is over. He will be produced again today in the Asansol court.
