It has not been even a month since Bajaj increased the prices of its vehicles to cover the losses in the lockdown, and the Pune-based manufacturer has resumed it. The CT100, CT110, Platina 100, and Platina 110 H-Gear have each seen an increase in at least one variant, and in some cases it has increased by over Rs 2,300. Apart from Bajaj, other two-wheeler manufacturers are also increasing the prices of their motorcycles and scooters.

These commuter models are a big part of Bajaj's sales and due to the continuous increase in such prices, the manufacturer may be at a disadvantage in this price-sensitive segment of the market. Bajaj has appointed an innovative 'e-carb' on these bikes, as everyone has opted instead of the fuel injection system. We were hoping that this technology would be more cost-effective, but given the fact that this is not the case, the CT100 BS6 now starts at about Rs 9,400 more than its BS4 model. The fuel injection system has also been given in Hero HF Deluxe, due to which it has become almost Rs 8,000 more expensive than the BS4 model.
