Ravi Dahiya, who gave India the quota of Tokyo Olympics, has won the gold medal in the Asian Wrestling Championship at KD Jadhav Stadium. On Saturday, star wrestler Bajrang Punia, including Gaurav Balyan and Satyavrat Kadian, had lost their respective finalists in the freestyle, disappointing everyone in style and had to be content with the silver medal.

After this, the hope of gold in freestyle wrestling was left only to Ravi and he did not disappoint anyone. He has defeated Hikmatulo Vohidov of Tajikistan in the final. Ravi defeated Japan's Yuki Takahashi 14-5 first in his journey to the final, defeating Tughs Batjargal of Mongolia. Uzbekistan's Noorislam Sanayev could not present a slight challenge in front of him in the semi-finals.

Earlier, Bajrang (65 kg) lost 2–10 to Takuto Otoguro of Japan in the final. Let us know that the Japanese wrestler also defeated the Indian wrestler in the final of 2018 World Championship. Gaurav (79 kg) lost to Arsalan Budjapov of Kyrgyzstan 5-7 in the final, while Satyavrat Kadian (97 kg) was defeated 10–0 by Mojtaba Muhammad Shafi Golij. Five Indians went on to play on Saturday, of which only Naveen (70 kg) missed out on the final and lost 2-3 to Iran's Amirhusain Ali Hosseini in the semi-finals and then lost in the bronze medal match.
