The country of India is united in diversity, people of different religions and languages are found here, but there is also a variation in it that Hindu pictures eat satvik food during Navratri days, whereas the Bengali fish or non-veg found from these are eaten. . Why so ? It is seen that during the fast of Durgapuja in the Hindus, salt is not applied to the hands and food is not eaten. Onion-garlic side is not even seen. In such a situation, you can understand that even thinking about non-veg is considered a sin. But in Bengal, it is considered important to eat non-veg on the day of Durga Puja. In Bengali, eating non-veg is a custom that every Bengali follows. After all, why do the Bengalis in the Hindus eat non-veg while others do not even look at non-veg. Let's know about it…

In Bengalis, meat is also sacrificed to the mother and then it is cooked and eaten. But the question remains that why do people eat non-veg on a holy occasion like Bengali worship? The whole story starts with faith and ends with faith. Even in Bengalis, people from certain communities only eat non-veg, while some do not. There is no restriction on eating and drinking in a community of Bengalis, where it is customary to eat non-veg. Their method of idol worship and offerings are also different compared to other communities. Actually the Bengali community believes that during the Durga Puja of Sharad Navaratri, the Mother Goddess herself comes to live with her children in their house and spend a few days with them at their home. For this reason, Bengali cooks all the dishes they eat for themselves. These range from sweets to meat and fish.

On the other hand, there is also a belief that on the occasion of Durga Puja, married women can eat fish or non-veg, there is no prevention for them, but these days the Bengali Brahmin widow woman has to eat traditional food. There is no non-vegetarian food for them. Yes, but now such rules are coming to an end in some houses. It is not only that Bengalis eat non-veg in Durga Puja. In many states, Brahmins also consume meat and fish during Durga Puja. According to folklore, during the Vedic period, the Himalayan tribes and people living around the Himalayas worshiped the goddess. They believed that Durga Maa and Chandika Devi are fond of wine and meat. Therefore, to make them happy, it is necessary to offer meat and alcohol. For this reason, he used to offer meat and liquor to the mother and then received it by herself.
