Bangladesh archer Eti Khatoon won the third gold on Monday, 09 December 2019, in the ongoing South Asian Games in Kathmandu, Pal. She hails from a small village in western Bangladesh. At the same time, despite successful opposition from family and society, Eti has succeeded in reaching this point.

In the report, he has told that his family wanted to get him married at the age of 12, but he refused and fled to Dhaka. Here he took training in archery training camp. Eti is still 14 years old.

He said that my family wanted me to get married at a young age, but I opposed it. I kept crying for two days and had stopped eating and drinking. I pressurized the family to enrol in the Dhaka Archery Training Camp. Now my dream is to win a medal in the Olympics.
