New Delhi: Team India opener Rohit Sharma has passed the fitness test. He is fully ready to join Team India in Australia. The BCCI has also confirmed this on Saturday. Although on Friday, the news of Rohit Sharma's fitness test had come to the media, but the BCCI had not given any official confirmation. The board issued an official statement confirming Rohit Sharma's fitness on Saturday.

The BCCI has written in a statement that Team India batsman Rohit Sharma has completed his rehab process at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. He is fit. Rohit had a muscle stretch problem in IPL. He was on rehab in the NCA since 19 November. In the statement that the medical team of NCA is completely satisfied with the physical fitness of Rohit Sharma. The medical team has tested him on the parameters like batting, fielding between wickets, and it is satisfied with his fitness.

Rohit Sharma will now be quarantined for two weeks upon reaching Australia, and will then join the team. It has been written in the statement that they have been given a detailed program for the two-week quarantine. After the quarantine, the medical team will test him once more, after which they will decide on his participation in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
