Dubai: The remaining matches of the Indian Premier League 2021 (IPL 2021) are scheduled to begin on September 19. A total of 31 matches are to be played in UAE's three-venue Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi. The T20 league was postponed after the Corona case came up on May 4. Then there were only 29 matches out of 60. BCCI doesn't want to take any risks in the remaining bouts. This has also led to new rules for second-stage competitions in UAE.

According to media reports, if the ball goes to the stand, the match will not be played again. The second ball will be used instead. According to the new rule framed in view of the Corona protocol, if the ball goes into the stand, the umpires will match the second ball. The ball going into the stand will be sanitized and placed in the library. Last time the stands were empty. Because of this, they were sanitized and matched.

This time the audience can come during the encounters in UAE. Because of this, the BCCI has taken this step keeping in view the security. UAE board has already made it clear that it is in the process of calling fans during the T20 World Cup in addition to IPL. He's talking to BCCI and ICC for it.
