Sharjah: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief Sourav Ganguly had arrived at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium to review the ongoing preparations for the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. lPL 2020 is to be held in three locations of united Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 19 to November 10-Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

Sourav Ganguly has posted his photos while visiting the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Instagram. Ganguly wrote on the caption of his post that "The famous Sharjah Stadium is fully prepared to host IPL 2020." Sourav Ganguly landed in the United Arab Emirates last week, but according to the protocol created due to the Coronavirus pandemic, he had to undergo a six-day mandatory quarantine. Having completed his quarantine period, Ganguly is now taking information about IPL preparations at three venues.

The first match of IPL 2020 will be played between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings on September 19. Dubai 24, Abu Dhabi 20 and Sharjah will host 12 matches. Dates and venues for the playoff stages of the competition will be released later.
