New Delhi: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Chief Sourav Ganguly said that the country will have to face the corona epidemic by the end of this year or early next year. It is almost clear from his statement on Monday that the Indian Premier League (IPL) will not be organized in India.

In a conversation with Mayank Agarwal, the opening batsman of the Test team, Ganguly said on the question regarding the condition of coronavirus in India, 'I think the next two-three-four months will be a bit difficult. We just have to bear it and life should become normal by the end of the year or the beginning of next year. BCCI has already made a plan to organize IPL between September and November. The first choice of the board would be to organize a competition in the country, but due to the increasing case of coronavirus, it seems difficult.

In terms of the number of corona infected, India has reached the third place after America and Brazil. After UAE and Sri Lanka, on Monday, New Zealand has also offered to host the IPL. In the 'Dada Open with Mayank' program, Sourav said, 'I will wait for the vaccine (vaccine) to come out. Till then we have to be a little more careful. We know what is going on and we do not want to fall ill. Saliva is an issue. Maybe once the vaccine is in place, like any other disease, everything will be normal.
