Pakistani cricketers Haider Ali, Imran Khan, and, masseur Malang Ali, got the COVID-19 tested and their reports have come out negative and is scheduled to leave for England on 8 July to join the team before next month's three-match Test series. The trio tested negative on 1 and 4 July along with Malsing Malang and Mohammad Imran. The Pakistan squad is currently training in Worcester ahead of the three-match Test series against England, which will begin in Manchester from 5 August.

ESPNcricinfo said in a report, "Three players and Malang will fly from Lahore on 8 July. However, fast bowler Haris Rauf has once again tested positive in the latest round of tests conducted by the Pakistan Cricket Board. He is thus the only cricketer who is still making a positive comeback from the 10 players who were found to be coronavirus positive before leaving for England last month.

Last Friday, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, and Wahab Riaz left for England for the second time after returning negative. Pakistan will also take on England in three T20 International series in August. The PCB has allowed senior batsman Shoaib Malik to join the team in England in late July, allowing him to spend time with his family in the United Arab Emirates.
