AIR will now do live commentary on all matches in India. BCCI has signed a two-year deal with All India Radio. On AIR, Indians will now be able to hear commentaries on all international cricket matches and domestic matches happening in the country.

BCCI has given rights to AIR for a live commentary for two years to increase coverage of Indian cricket. Through All India Radio, millions of people will be able to sit at home and listen to live commentaries of their favorite sports from all parts of the country. For the first time, AIR will make a live commentary of the India vs South Africa T20 match from September 15. It will take place in Dharamshala, which is the first match of the three T20 matches series.

Apart from international matches, the matches and tournaments whose live commentary can be heard on All India Radio include women's cricket tournaments. The agreement between BCCI and AIR will run from 10 September 2019 to 31 August 2021. Domestic tournaments whose live commentary is to be awarded on All India Radio, including Ranji Trophy, Duleep Trophy, Deodhar Trophy, Deodhar Trophy Final, Women's Challenger Series, Sayyid Mushtaq Ali Trophy Super League, Sayyid Mushtaq Ali Trophy League, and Irani cum (Mens) matches are included.
