Kolkata: Sourav Ganguly is soon going to become the new Chairman of the Indian cricket board. Prior to this, a tremendous reception at the headquarters at Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata was organised.  Eden was brilliantly decorated for Saurav known as 'Maharaj' among the nearby people. A gate of flowers was erected at the gate of the stadium's clubhouse. LED light was installed.

The CAB officials had been waiting for their president to return since morning, who will now also take charge of the BCCI. Sourav arrived at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport from Mumbai to Kolkata in the evening. A large number of his fans were present there, shouting slogans saying 'Dada'. Ganguly left directly for the Eden Gardens from there. On reaching the gate of the CAB headquarters, flowers were showered on him and there were fireworks. CAB officials welcomed him with a bunch of flowers.

In the joy of Sourav becoming BCCI president, a cake was also brought, which was cut by Dada. Speaking to the media at Dum Dum Airport, Sourav Ganguly, who is called the Prince of Kolkata, again said that "this is a big responsibility. Hopefully, he will be able to do good work. He reiterated that his priority would be first-class cricket".
