New Delhi: Fans waiting for a bilateral series between India and Pakistan have received a piece of big shocking news. There has been no bilateral series between the two teams for the last 10 years. But, now it is not possible to have any series between India and Pakistan for the next five years. In fact, the Future Tour Program (FTP) sent by the BCCI to all state associations from 2023-2027 has kept Pakistan's column blank.
According to this, Team India will play more matches against Australia and England. There is a Test and limited-overs series schedule every year. The Indian team will play 38 Tests (20 domestic, 18 away), 42 ODIs (21 domestic, 21 abroad), and 61 T20 (31 domestic, 30 abroad) matches during these five years (2023-2027) in the multi-nation tournament. The BCCI cannot take any decision on playing a bilateral series with Pakistan until the Indian government approves it.
Let us know that no bilateral series has been played between India and Pakistan for almost 10 years. The last time Pakistan toured India was in 2012-13. Then there was a series of three ODIs and two T20 matches between the two teams. Then the Pakistan team won the ODI series 2-1, while the T20 series was tied 1-1. Since then, both teams have been playing matches with each other in the ICC tournament only.
