Ahmedabad: The owner of a restaurant named Sarfaraz Mohammad has been arrested from Surat city of Gujarat. Sarfaraz Mohammad is accused of serving beef to those who asked for non-veg food in his restaurant. When Hindu organizations came to know about his act, they opposed it and informed the police and got him arrested.
According to reports, three people from Hindu organisations in Surat received information that beef was being served at a non-veg restaurant operating in the Hodibangla area. They investigated the matter and confirmed whether the information was correct or false. When the beef was confirmed, they reported the entire matter to the Lalgate police station. As soon as the information was received, the police raided the restaurant and recovered about 60 kg of meat lying in the fridge. After which, a case was registered against the restaurant owner at Lalgate police station in Surat and he was arrested by the police.
Let us know that, on Sunday (September 11, 2022), the police took this action and then took samples of the recovered beef and sent it to the Forensic Scientific Laboratory for investigation. It is being told that on September 14, the FSL report confirmed that 20 kg of the meat seized from the fridge was beef. The Gujarat Police has registered a case against the owner of the restaurant, Sarfaraz Mohammad Wazir Khan, under the 'Gujarat Animal Preservation Amendment Act'. At the same time, the who supplied beef butcher Ansar has been declared absconding.
Head constable Yajendra Dadubhai of Lalgate police station has informed that on September 11, he received a complaint that beef was being kept and served in a restaurant called 'Delhi Dastarkhwan', after which he went to the restaurant with his team and checked and found six packets of meat. Each packet weighed ten kg.
