Guwahati: Bengali Hindus are protesting against the Assam NRC by using Lorn Ram name as a weapon. The incident came from Brahmajan village in Gohpur Chhaidor area. Here people have come up with slogans and protests against NRC and NRC State Coordinator Prateek Hajela. However, they have found a unique way of protesting. These people are protesting by chanting 'Hari Naam' with drums and strings in their hands. Along with this, slogans like 'Pratik Hajela Murdabad' are also being raised.

These Bengali Hindus who have left Assam NRC say that they do not believe its final list. They said that this list is a conspiracy against Bengali Hindus, as more than 80 percent of the people living in this village have not been included in it. At the same time, the final list of NRC has also been published online which includes the names of all 3.30 crore people.

The final list of Assam NRC was released on 31 August, which includes the names of 3,11,21,004 people, while 19,06,657 people have not got a place in it. However, after the final list of NRC was published, BJP, Congress, Vidyaarthi Sangams and other social organizations have started raising voice against it. All of them accusing that the natives living here have been excluded from the list of NRC.
