Bengaluru: Heavy rains have disrupted normal life in Karnataka's capital Bengaluru. The hi-tech city, popularly known as Silicon City, has been flooded with rainwater. Flood-like conditions have also been formed in many other cities of Karnataka. People's homes to offices have been filled with water. Meanwhile, a girl has died due to electrocution due to waterlogging. The incident took place near the Mayura Bakery area of Whitefield.  

Heavy rains in Karnataka in the last two days have inundated many areas. Due to the submergence of roads, it is also becoming difficult for people to leave their homes for office. The functioning of many IT companies has also been affected due to rains and floods. The dividers on the road have also been submerged in water. A 23-year-old girl has lost her life after being electrocuted near the Whitefield area in Bengaluru. The girl named Akila was returning home on her scooty. The rainwater on the road had risen to the knee. As the scooty was stopped, Akila started pushing it.

In the meantime, she started falling due to her balance deteriorating, she tried to take the support of the electric pole to recover. But, as soon as she touched the pillar, she felt a strong current. She was taken to the hospital after the accident, but doctors declared her brought dead.
