After much anticipation and speculation, the veil of suspense surrounding the Chief Minister's identity has finally been lifted. Appointed as an observer for the Chief Minister selection process in Rajasthan, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, accompanied by two co-observers—national vice-president Saroj Pandey and national general secretary Vinod Tawde—will participate in the meeting. Subsequent to this gathering, the party is scheduled to disclose the new Chief Minister of Rajasthan.

The announcement of the next Chief Minister will follow the BJP legislature party meeting, slated to convene in Rajasthan at 4:00 pm on Tuesday. Attendance at this meeting is mandatory for all newly elected MLAs.

Who is Bhajan Lal Sharma?: Bhajan Lal Sharma, a first-time MLA, assumed the role of the new chief minister of Rajasthan on Tuesday. He presently holds a position in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, representing the Sanganer Assembly constituency.

Prior to this appointment, Bhajan Lal Sharma had served as the State General Secretary for the Bharatiya Janata Party on four occasions.

In the recent 2023 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election, he secured his position as an MLA from the Sanganer Assembly constituency. His victory came after surpassing Pushpendra Bhardwaj, the Indian National Congress (INC) candidate, with a substantial margin of 48,081 votes.
