The Central Government on Friday said that the data for the third phase of trials of the vaccine, made by ICMR and India Biotech, is scheduled to be released in the next 7 to 8 days. NITI Aayog member and head of corona task force of the country, Dr. VK Paul said in the middle of a press conference that the data on the third phase of Covaxin trial should be made available in a few days. On the other hand, India Biotech has already indicated that it is going to apply for full license of the vaccine when all the data is available.

It has been learnt that the vaccine maker Bharat Biotech has said that the vaccine data is going to be made public by July. In fact, people in India have been given doses of vaccine for the past several months, while the third phase of data has not yet been released. Before which the US had refused to approve the emergency use of the vaccine. On this, Dr. Paul said on Friday that the US decision will not have any regulatory impact on India.

"All countries have their own criteria or rules" Dr. Paul said. The regulatory system of every country is different, although some aspects may be the same. Countries have their own criteria or rules and we are respected. Every country has its own parameter for grant of vaccination for its population. If they have made a decision, we respect that decision. On the other hand, Bharat Biotech expects a peer review by vaccine experts in 2 to 4 months after data from its covid vaccine Vaccine Phase-3 is given to scientific journals.
