"Bharat jodo" Versus "Bharat todo", Know what Bommai said...

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Thursday said  that citizens of the nation are aware of who is working to "unite" the nation and who is attempting to "split" it.

He said that people are aware of who is engaging in "Bharat jodo" and who is performing "Bharat todo" in reference to the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat jodo yatra, which is set to enter the state on Friday.

The chief minister indicated to a reporter that he would allow KPCC president D.K. Shivakumar to say anything he wanted on tearing down the Bharat Jodi flex, but that permission would still need to be sought in order to put up the flex. The BJP is under no obligation to rip a political party's flex.

When asked about the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) prohibition, he responded that although the Popular Front of India had been banned, this group had assumed a different position. The Central Government has not made any decisions about the SDPI because it is a political party that is registered with the Indian Election Commission. Depending on the events over the next few days, action will be taken.

Bommai responded to B K Hariprasad's claim that the PFI ban is a political ploy and an election gimmick by asking what else might be expected of a leader of the Congress. Hariprasad is the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council.

Over the years, there had been a number of disturbing incidents and killings, and now everything is in front of their eyes. In addition, the banned organisation has sponsored terrorism. Both inside and outside the House, the Congress has requested that PFI be banned. It was up to Hariprasad to consider if his party was right to label it a gimmick at this point. The CM said that he had written and spoken to his Goa counterpart over the Karnataka government's request for two acres of land in Goa for the construction of Kannada Bhavan. The Goa CM has pledged to find a suitable piece of land for the project.

In response to a question regarding a group of litterateurs supporting the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Bommai stated that litterateurs may be found on all sides of this nation. While some people support Congress, others back the BJP.

Bommai ruled out the deferment of the proposed Sahitya Sammelana in Haverii and said it will be held in November as scheduled. Preparations are already in full swing.
