Tumakuru: Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, will engage the public as the Bharat Jodo Yatra resumes on Saturday in Tumakuru, Karnataka. His third media appearance during the march is slated to begin at 1 pm today.
Today was the 31st day of the yatra, which is currently in the Karnataka leg.

Veteran Congress leader Jairam Ramesh announced that the march started about 6:40 am. "The #BharatJodoYatra's Day 31 began at 640am. At Turuvekere at 1:00 p.m. today, @RahulGandhi will have his third press conference thus far while on the Yatra. Currently, we are in the Tumkur district "Jairam Ramesh, a Congress lawmaker, tweeted.

Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, asserted earlier on October 7 that the instructors brought up the topic of Kannada language and culture being "under threat." He said,  "adverse ideological forces are systematically attacking our educational system, and this attack has now extended to our curriculum."

The former president of Congress claimed that when he met with teachers and kids, they shared their worries with him.
"I spoke to the teachers and students. The teachers explained the reasons why public schools are underfunded. Why is our language, "Kannada," and culture being attacked? Why is Karnataka's glorious past being omitted from textbooks? Why are our culture and history under attack and being harmed?" said Rahul.
He said that the new NEP 2020 had been specifically created to reverse everything done over the previous 75 years. He went on to say that the only goals driving these enormous changes implemented by the State and Central Governments were communalization, centralization, and commercialization. He said, there were numerous purposeful and planned attempts to undermine the Constitution and the educational system by these extreme tactics.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra, a 3,500-km march from Kanyakumari to Kashmir that passes through as many as 12 states, is now being led by the MP for Wayanad. The Yatra began in Kanyakumari and would finish in Kashmir the following year, travelling 25 kilometres daily.

The Congress claims that the "Bharat Jodo Yatra" is being organised to challenge the BJP-led Centre's divisive policies and to make the nation's citizens aware of the risks of economic inequality, social polarisation, and political centralization.

Notably, Rahul Gandhi and all of the party's MPs, leaders, and workers are residing in shipping containers. Some of the containers even have AC units, toilets, and sleeping mattresses. There will be numerous different climate and environmental conditions along the way.

The assembly elections for this year's elections were a disaster for the Congress, and the Yatra is considered as an effort to attempt the party's base for the forthcoming elections.
