Kurukshetra: The Bharatiya Kisan Union (Bhakiu) Mann faction had registered a case against Bharatiya Kisan Union (Chadhuni) president Gurnam Chaduni and Bhakiu spokesperson Rakesh Tikait and issued an ultimatum to the Manohar Lal Khattar government in the state to arrest them. After the expiry of the ultimatum period, the Mann faction blocked the road for an hour by constructing a brick wall on Kurukshetra-Saharanpur Road in Mathana on Monday. The administration diverted the vehicles. The district administration has now sought a 15-day moratorium from the Mann faction to take action against Tikait and Chaduni.

Activists led by Mann faction state president Guniprakash and general secretary Praveen Mathana raised slogans against the administration for not taking action against the Bhakiu leaders. Trains lined up on both sides of the roads after the jam started at 1 pm. On receiving the information, Ladwa SDM Anubhav Mehta, DSP Ladwa Bharat Bhushan, Naib Tehsildar Jaiveer Ranga rushed to the spot and tried to open the jam.

But, the Mann faction refused to open the jam. They stuck to their demand for registration of a case against Gurnam Chaduni and Rakesh Tikait and their arrest. Officials who reached the spot sought a 15-day moratorium from the Mann faction to take action against the two leaders. After which the Mann faction opened the jam on this condition. He said, if a case is registered against Gurnam Chaduni and Rakesh Tikait in 15 days and they are not arrested, they will stage a strike by constructing a brick wall in front of the DC residence.
