New Delhi: Women fighter pilot Bhavna Kanth will attend the National Festival Republic Day parade on January 26 this year. She will fly the Rafale fighter jet over Rajpath for the first time and show Rafael's speed to the people of the country. A total of 42 aircraft flypast will be held at this year's event, including two Rafale fighter jets.
Bhavna Kanth was posted as the air force's first female fighter pilots in the year 2018. On the occasion of International Women's Day in 2020, President of India Ram Nath Kovind conferred the Nari Shakti Puraskar to the Indian Air Force's Women Pilots Bhavna Kanth. After receiving the award, the women pilots had said thanks to the hard work, I completed my dream flight journey. Bhavna is originally a resident of Darbhanga district of Bihar.
The sentiment has been far ahead in reading from the beginning. She got 92% marks in the 10th board while she secured 85% in inter. Bhavna Kanth was selected as flying officer along with two other female pilots Avani Chaturvedi and Mohanna Singh in the Indian Air Force on June 18, 2016.
