Hyderabad: Bhoomi Pujan will be held today (Saturday) for the construction of a satellite bus terminal. The civil administration of the state capital, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh vanasthalipuranlo K Tarak Rama Rao (KTR) will lay the foundation stone for the bus terminal. Minister Sabita Indra Reddy will also participate in the Bhoomi Puja program.

A bus terminal will be constructed on behalf of HMDA near Mahaveer Harinavanasthali Park in Vanasthalipuram on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada Highway. People traveling from Hyderabad to Nalgonda, Khammam, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam etc. can avail the facility from this terminal. Construction of the terminal is targeted to be completed within 6 months, officials said. The construction of the satellite bus terminal will cost Rs 10 crore.

In the first phase, 3 bus bays will be constructed. Each bus bay will have three restrooms, a pharmacy, a drinking water ATM, a bank ATM and an inquiry center. There are also parking facilities for cars, motorcycles and trucks. The terminal will be built for the movement of eight thousand passengers daily.
