HYDERABAD: More than 100 chickens have died in Koppur village in Bhimdevarapalli zone of Telangana's Warangal district in the wake of bird flu. The samples were collected by an Animal Husbandry Officer and sent to the Veterinary Biological and Research Institute, Hyderabad.
District Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Officer KK Venkat Narayan said. "According to the preliminary investigation, there were no symptoms of bird flu.
The incident took place on Thursday at a farm in Koppur village. Authorities will visit the spot again on Friday and send more samples to VBRI in Hyderabad as a precaution. A police case was also registered.
