Bhopal: An old tigress “Basni” died due to age-related conditions at the Van Vihar National Park on Tuesday,April 19, 2016.
According to the official release-’Basni’, the old tigress was suffering from paralysis since November 2015 and yesterday the tigress suffered heart attack following which she passed away.
It said, she was 13 and a halh year old.In January 2003 she was brought to the Van Vihar,when she was just three months old from neighbouring Raisen district.
After necessary formalities, her last rites were performed in the park itself.
