Bhopal: Order has been issued regarding opening of liquor shops in Bhopal, capital of Madhya Pradesh. According to the order issued, 64 out of 93 liquor shops in the capital will be opened from today. The remaining shops will not be opened due to being in the Containment Zone. During this time, shopkeepers have to take care of the rules of social distancing.

At the same time, liquor traders of the capital Bhopal have refused to open shops. Because liquor traders are in confusion about opening shops on old basis and new agreement. Regarding this, Bhopal liquor traders have also filed a petition in the High Court, which is to be heard on 2 June.

However, after the order was issued by the Bhopal collector, 64 shops in the capital will start charging license fees totaling Rs 1 crore 77 lakh every day. In such a situation, liquor shops will have to pay fees to the state government on the basis of open or not open agreement.
