Bhopal: A big news has come from Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. In fact, a fire broke out in the Special Newborn Unit (SNCU) of Kamala Nehru Children's Hospital here this morning (Tuesday). Four children died in the accident. However, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile, the state government has ordered a high-level inquiry into the incident. Recently, state Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang said that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit. At the same time, he described the situation inside the ward as "extremely scary." Another official said, "The fire broke out on the third floor of the hospital where the ICU is.''

In this case, Vishwas Sarang says, "Four children died in a fire in SNCU ward. We rushed to the spot along with others as soon as the incident was reported. It was dark inside the ward. We sent the children to the next ward.'' He further said that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced an ex-gratia of 4 lakh rupees each to the next of kin of the deceased children. Let me tell you all that the fire broke out on the third floor of the hospital building around 9 pm last Monday. Around 10 fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the flames. He then expressed the possibility of a fire from a short circuit. A total of 40 children were said to have been admitted to the SNCU and out of these 36 children have been kept in different wards.

As soon as he came to know about the fire, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said in a tweet, "Rescue operation was carried out expeditiously and the fire has been brought under control.'' He also said, "The incident of fire in the children's ward of Kamala Nehru Hospital in Bhopal is tragic. A high-level inquiry has been directed into the incident. The inquiry will be conducted by Additional Chief Secretary (Health and Medical Education) Mohammad Suleman.''
