The film is being made under the banner of Akshay Kumar's production house 'Cape of Good Films' and Bhushan Kumar's T Series. After working in Shri Narayan Singh's film 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha', this will be the second film of Bhoomi with Akshay and Ashok is directing the film 'Durgavati'. The film 'Durgavati' is a Hindi remake of the Telugu horror film 'Bhagyamathi' and the story of this film is going to revolve around a woman imprisoned in the haunted house during questioning in a corruption case. The film 'Bhagyamathi' was released in the year 2018 and this film was also directed by Ashok. Anushka Shetty was in the lead role in this film and now Bhumi will appear.
