New Delhi: The esteemed monarch of Bhutan, His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, is set to embark on an official visit to India, commencing from tomorrow, November 3 and extending through to November 10.
Accompanying the King on this important diplomatic journey will be a delegation of senior officials from the Royal Government of Bhutan, signifying the significance of this visit.
During his stay, the King of Bhutan will hold a crucial meeting with India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, as confirmed by the Ministry of External Affairs in an official statement. Additionally, the statement highlights that "External Affairs Minister and senior officials of the Government of India will also have the honor of meeting His Majesty the King of Bhutan."
The royal visit will encompass not only the capital, New Delhi, but also other regions of India, including Assam and Maharashtra.
This visit follows an earlier meeting between the King and Prime Minister Modi earlier this year, which garnered substantial attention, especially in light of the intensified focus on the Doklam issue.
