Method of preparation: To make corn cake first, grate fresh coconut. Grate ginger too. Finely chop green coriander and green chilies. Now grate the corn and remove the pulp from it and grate all the corn to make a paste. If you want, you can also use sweet corn instead of corn. Put a pan on medium flame on the gas and add ghee in it and let it heat up. When the ghee becomes hot, add asafetida, cumin seeds and mustard seeds to it.
When the cumin and mustard are roasted, add ginger, green chili, turmeric powder and corn paste to it and mix well. Fry it till it turns light golden. After five minutes when this paste is roasted, add red chili powder, milk and sugar and cook till it comes to a boil. Keep stirring it continuously so that it does not burn.
When it comes to a boil, add salt to it and reduce the flame of the gas and cover and cook it. Keep it running in between. After cooking the corn, the ghee starts separating from it and when it is done, add green coriander and lemon juice to it. Prepare your tasty corn cake. Take it out on a plate and put green coriander and grated coconut on top and garnish and serve it hot.
