WASHINGTON: US President Joe Biden announced an additional USD800 million in security aid to Ukraine, including heavy artillery, howitzers, ammunition, and tactical drones.

According to a White House statement, Biden made the decision shortly after meeting with visiting Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal, during which they "addressed recent events in Russia's horrific war of aggression against Ukraine."
