Badaun: A major accident took place on Mahashivaratri in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh. Five students doing MBBS at Badaun Medical College drowned when they went to bathe in Ganga in Kacchala. As the students, who were drowning in the deep water, raised an alarm, divers jumped into the Ganges and started searching for the students who were drowning.  

During this, divers rescued two students, but three students drowned in deep water, and the search for them continues. Pramod, a resident of Gorakhpur, Ankush, a resident of Bharatpur Rajasthan, Prakash Maurya, a resident of Jaunpur, Pawan Yadav of Ballia, Naveen Singhal of Hathras, went to take a bath in the Kachhala Ganga on Saturday afternoon. While taking a bath, the five students went into deep water.

Pramod and Ankush, third-year MBBS students, were pulled out of the water by divers present at the ghat. The search is on for Prakash Maurya of Jaunpur, Pawan Yadav of Ballia, and Naveen Singhal of Hathras. As soon as the report of the incident was received, SDM Sadar Sukhlal Prasad Verma, CO City Alok Mishra, and Tahsildar Karanvir Singh reached Gangaghat. Where the search for the students who drowned in the Ganges with the help of divers continues.
