Now, Loktantrik Janata Dal (LJD) chief Sharad Yadav has made a big announcement. Sharad Yadav is soon going to merge his party LJD with former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav's party Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). This news has been given by Sharad Yadav himself. Sharad Yadav has said that on March 20, he will officially merge his party LJD with RJD. Sharad Yadav said that a function will be held on the occasion at his residence in Delhi.

On August 3, 2021, Lalu Yadav met Sharad Yadav in New Delhi. After meeting Sharad Yadav, Lalu had also spoken openly about political issues. Lalu Yadav said that Sharad Yadav's ill health and his absence as an MP has now made parliament numb. At that time also, there were indications of Sharad Yadav taking a big decision on the party.

Lalu had said to the same opposition leaders about the constant meeting that people are meeting, there is talk. Lalu Yadav, in response to a question on the political developments in the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), had said that whatever manipulation has happened, Chirag Paswan became the leader and all the people in Bihar have gone round the corner. Lalu Prasad Yadav had said that he wants Chirag Paswan and Tejashwi to come together.
