Audi India informed on Friday that it has started local production of the 2022 Audi Q7 SUV at its plant in Aurangabad. The updated Q7 is expected to be launched in the first month of the new year. While Audi has bet big on electric by 2021, the Q range is still in demand in India. Audi launched 45% of the company's sales in India in the new Q5 last month. Currently, everyone's eyes are fixed on Q7, which was once the flagship SUV of the brand before the launch of Q8.

However, the new Audi Q7 is projected to retain its fan base. The front side Front Grille is even more attractive, Matrix LED Headlight Unit, large air intake, chrome garnish on the window and chrome line at the door are some of the outer parts of this SUV that attract customers attention. The rear also has LED lights that are rich in chrome. The length of the 2022 Audi Q7 is 5,063 MM, the width is 1,970MM and the height is 1,741 MM. SUV gets a 2,995 mm wheelbase. It has a storage capacity of 865-litres, which is going to be increased to 2,050 litres by bending the rear seats.

Advanced features to be available with revised interiors and exteriors: Already available in select global markets, the new Q7 also provides information about an updated feature list that also features rear side airbags, Heated ORVMs, Updated tyre-pressure monitoring systems and adaptive cruise control. Available in both SUV, 5 and 7-seater layouts in the global market.

The new Audi Q7 Facelift is scheduled to be produced at the Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd (SAWWIPL) plant in Aurangabad, Lokli Maharashtra. It was launched globally in June 2019 and made public at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. The new 2022 Audi Q7 facelift has made many cosmetic changes compared to its previous models along with new features. Globally, it has been launched with 2 diesel engine options with a turbocharged petrol motor.

However, in India, like all other cars in the Volkswagen Group, it is going to be launched only with petrol engines. The new Audi Q7 facelift will run on a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 petrol motor that can generate 340 HP power and 500 Nm peak torque. The engine comes with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and also features Audi's famous Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The motor also has a 48V mild-hybrid system that allows for 40 seconds to coast when the engine is off.
