Dehradun: There is news of great relief for more than 60 thousand BEd holders in the state. According to Additional Education Director Virendra Singh Rawat, NCTE has allowed these B.Ed holders who got less than 50 percent marks in the pre-July 2011 undergraduate examination to join TET. Regardless of the marks in these candidates' graduate examinations, they will now be able to appear in the teacher eligibility test. TET has been made mandatory to become a teacher, but in the teacher eligibility test, only those candidates who have at least 50% marks in graduation, that is why a large number of B.Ed holders in the state do not make TET. Was getting, but now those BEd holders from before 2011 have been given relief by NCTE. Actually, the NCTE has amended the earlier orders dated 23 August 2010 and 29 July 2011 in the notification session on 13 November 2019.

According to the information received, let us tell you that BEd holders who got less than 50 percent marks in pre-2011 graduation will also be able to sit in the TET exam. At the same time, there is a relief for those BEd holders after 2011, who have 50 percent or more marks in any of the UG or PG. Now, candidates with 50 percent or more marks in any one of the UG or PG will also be able to sit in the teacher eligibility test.

On the other hand, experts say that after this notification, the rules of Uttarakhand TET will change themselves. Such a provision has been made in Uttarakhand TET that whatever amendments will be made by NCTE from time to time, the rules of Uttarakhand TET itself will be changed accordingly.
