Bokaro: A major train accident has been averted from Bokaro, Jharkhand. In fact, on Tuesday evening, a tractor was stuck between the rail track and the gate at santhaldih railway crossing in Bokaro. At the same time, the New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express was passing. But due to the wisdom of the train driver, a major accident was averted. DRM Manish Kumar said that a tractor got stuck due to the closure of the railway gate at Santhaldih railway crossing of Bhojudih railway station in Bokaro district. Due to this, the New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express (22812) was passing through there, but the driver took precautions and applied the brakes of the train and the train stopped. Due to which a major rail accident was averted.

The railway officer said that the accident took place at around 5 pm. Due to this, the Rajdhani Express stopped here for about 45 minutes. In this case, railway officials have taken action and registered an FIR. Along with this, the gateman posted at the railway gate has been suspended. On June 2, 288 people were killed when the Coromandel Express, the Bengaluru-Howrah Express and a goods train collided in Odisha's Balasore. About 51 hours after this accident, the restoration work of the railway track was completed. The accident is being investigated by the CBI following the recommendation of the Railway Minister. 

At the same time, opposition parties have raised questions about the CBI investigation. He says that there was no crime in this, which will be investigated by the CBI. Compensation has also been announced to the families of those who lost their lives in this accident and the injured persons. The railways is giving a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the kin of the deceased, Rs 2 lakh to those seriously injured and Rs 50,000 to those with minor injuries. So far, the Railways has paid Rs 100 crore. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik have also announced compensation to the people of their state.
