Shamita on stage last Sunday revealed the reason behind host Karan Johar being a part of her show. He said, "After Raj Kundra controversy, he had two thoughts going on in his mind whether he should be a part of the show or not." He continued, 'Time is good, bad, why should we stop breathing when we don't stop breathing? And to tell the truth, the Bigg Boss offer came to me a long time ago and I made a commitment at that time.' At the same time, Shamita continued, 'Then so much happened and I thought it might not be right to go inside the Wig Boss house at this time but made a commitment.'

When Shamita made her entry in the same show, Karan Johar asked her to choose her connection. Shamita chose Rakesh Bapat and Karan Nath as her connections. This was followed by a task between Rakesh and Karan and Rakesh managed to impress Shamita. Shamita and Rakesh have now been paired in the show. It remains to be seen what makes a splash next on the show.
