75-year-old corona patient dies in ambulance, driver flees leaving corpse on road

Patna: The corona epidemic is taking a toll on humanity in Bihar. In fact, there was chaos near Raja Bazar Railway Underpass Axis Bank in Jehanabad district on Wednesday when an ambulance worker fled leaving the body of a 75-year-old woman infected with corona on the road. In the course of investigation, police came to know that the deceased woman was the wife of Dinesh Sharma, a resident of Bharthu village of Indu Devi Ghosi police station, who was suffering from corona and was referred to Patna.

When Additional Chief Minister of Nagar Police Station Vinay Kumar Singh investigated the case with the armed forces, he came to know that the woman was battling corona virus. Later, on receiving the information, the family members of the woman reached Jehanabad and her body was handed over to the family for cremation under the provision of corona. According to police information about the incident, the elderly woman Indu Devi, a resident of Bharthu, was already in poor health. She had been ill for a few days. She had come to Jehanabad Sadar Hospital on Wednesday for treatment with her daughter Archana Sharma where she underwent a corona test which was reported positive.

The woman is said to have had breathing problems as well. The sanse was running fast. He was referred to Patna by a doctor from Sadar Hospital on Wednesday in view of the seriousness of the situation. He was reportedly being taken to Patna by ambulance. In the meantime, he died suddenly. When the driver of the ambulance got wind of it, he took off the woman's body and her daughter on the beach road near Axis Bank Raja Bazar underpass and fled.
