Patna: Lakhs of labourers of Bihar are stranded in various states due to the ongoing lockdown across the country amid the fast-spreading corona infection in the country. In such a situation, the Modi government at the centre is claiming these labourers to reach their hometowns through the Shramik Special Train. Meanwhile, during the journey, a workers special train was kept on the outing for about 10 hours, after which the workers started shouting slogans against Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on the railway track itself.
According to the NDTV report, the anger of the workers who came on board the labour trains from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh erupted when their train was kept standing at Outer Signal of Deen Dayal Upadhyay station for 10 hours. A passenger travelling in the train said that this train reached Outer Signal of Deen Dayal Upadhyay station on Friday night at 11 pm. Since then it has not been carried forward for 10 hours. He told that 1500 rupees have also been charged from him for travelling in this train.
Another labourer special train coming from Panvel in Maharashtra to Jaunpur in UP, the train was stopped in Varanasi for about 10 hours. Due to this, the angry workers started protesting by sitting on the railway track. However, later the railway police arranged for these people to eat, then the train was moved forward.
