Ara: Five people, including three elderly people, were run over by a construction company's unruly truck at Sahiyara Bazar under Imadpur police station area of Bhojpur district of Bihar on Wednesday morning. One person died on the spot in the accident. While four people were injured. Two of the injured were brought to Ara Sadar Hospital for treatment where one was referred to Patna after first aid. Meanwhile, two other injured are undergoing treatment at the PHC.
Meanwhile, the driver abandoned the truck after the incident and fled. Angry villagers created a ruckus and broke the glass of the truck and damaged it. The villagers then placed the body in the middle of the road in Sahiyara Market and blocked the road. This led to long queues of vehicles on both sides of the road.
After receiving information about the incident, Imadpur police station in-charge Awadhesh Kumar along with the police force rushed to the spot and rushed spot to persuade the people. The deceased has been identified as Anand Kahar, the 62-year-old son of Parshuram Kahar, a resident of Sahiyara village in the Imadpur police station area. While the injured include Hare Krishna Sah (60), Ayodhya Sah (50), who live in the village, two others.
