A big decision has been taken today in the Bihar Legislative Assembly regarding NRC and NPR. A proposal has been passed in Bihar Legislative Assembly not to implement NRC. The most important thing is that this resolution has been passed unanimously. Along with this, the proposal to amend the NPR in the Legislative Assembly has also passed unanimously.

It is worth mentioning that while answering the questions of the opposition in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, Nitish Kumar had clarified the stand of the state government on NPR. Nitish Kumar said in the assembly that NPR was discussed at my behest and on February 15, an official letter has been sent by us to the Census Commissioner of the Central Government that NPR should be implemented in Bihar on the lines of 2010 itself. Tejashwi Yadav also asked Nitish Kumar that the notification has been issued on NPR on 18 December 2019 that if NPR will be implemented from May 15, will this notification be canceled?
