Patna: A case of incorrect data on deaths due to deadly corona virus has come to light in Bihar. The opposition is questioning the Nitish government over this. In Bihar, the death toll due to corona infection has suddenly gone up by 73 percent. The total death toll as of June 7 was said to be 5424, which has been increased to 9375.

That is, the death toll in a day has been increased to 3951. The health department says many patients died during isolation at home. Some died on their way home to the hospital and many have died even after recovering from corona. Many such cases have been included in the figures after investigations have been conducted. Patna has the highest number of additional 1070 deaths after verification. This was followed by 316 additional deaths in Begusarai, 314 in Muzaffarpur and 222 in Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's native Nalanda.

According to the latest data, the number of people who lost their lives in the second wave of corona virus infection swells to close to 8,000 and the death toll has increased nearly six times since April. In Bihar, corona has caused a total of 2303 deaths in the state capital Patna while Muzaffarpur district ranks second with 609 deaths.
