Muzaffarpur: Criminals shot dead a lawyer in Gopalganj district of Bihar and severely injured him. The injured lawyer was admitted to the emergency ward of Sadar Hospital where doctors have referred him to Gorakhpur in view of the critical condition. The injured lawyer is 35-year-old Tuntun Prasad son of late Munnilal of Bargachia village of Uchkagaon police station area.

The culprits have committed the crime near the canal of Basadila village of Nagar police station. It is said that when Tuntun Ram was coming to Gopalganj court with his assistant, two bike riders shot him from behind. Both the bike riders had kept their mouths hidden with the intention of hiding their identity. The bullet is in the lawyer's back. Criminals have escaped by shooting them. The cause of the incident is being told as a ground dispute.

It is said that his land is in the village of Bargachhiya. There was a dispute with some people about their land. Maybe this dispute has been the reason for this firing. However, soon after receiving the information of the incident, Sadar SDPO Naresh Paswan also reached the spot and started investigating the case.
